The Red Wing For’em Club has supported Gilda’s Club for more than 20 years. Here is a look at upcoming events!
Our club charity is Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit. Fundraising efforts by our club that benefit Gilda’s Club include Gilda’s Walk & 5K Run in September, the Gilda’s Club Charity Golf Outing in August and occasionally volunteering to help sell 50/50 raffle tickets at Little Ceasar’s Arena during one of the home hockey games.
Gilda’s Walk & 5K Run
Date: Saturday, September 7, 2024
Location: Royal Oak High School: 1500 Lexington Blvd., Royal Oak, MI 48073
The Walk & Run starts at Royal Oak High School, with the route taking participants through the neighborhoods surrounding Gilda’s Club Clubhouse and finishes back at the High School.

FEE: $120 per Golfer – Includes the following:
18 Holes with a cart, Hot Dog, Chips, and non-alcoholic beverage at the turn; Entry into SKINS; Entry into Hole-in-One TRIP GIVE AWAY on all Par 3 holes; Opportunity to take part in Special Even Holes, Dinner, and Banquet.

Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit ensures that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by the community. Our organization creates welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens, and children – along with their families and friends.
Since 1998, more than 10,000 individuals and families have visited their Clubhouse in Royal Oak or one of their off-site locations with hospital partners around Metro Detroit. Today, they have more than 10,000 members. Their program provides support and networking groups, educational lectures, workshops, and social activities for cancer patients, their loved ones, and those who are in need of more support.
